1999 Civic DTC Code Questions
I have a 1999 civic that occasionally hicups while driving and has slight idle problems.
I took it to autozone to have it analyzed I have a print out with codes:
P0505
Idle Control System Malfunction
P0135
O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
I have no idea where to start with the first code. Anyone have any suggestions to what the larger problem may be other than the O2 sensor which I will replace when the part arrives.
Thanks

MORE THAN LIKELY, the Idle air control motor is either filthy and needs to be cleaned, or its defective and needs to be replaced.
I am assuming that since its a "slight" idle issue, that its merely dirty.
The IACV is a little motor that sits on the side of the throttle body that controls the passage of air past the throttle body itself.
Hope that helps.
