I am looking into doing a boosted K20 swap, but havent seen plumbing of exh headers. Can someone post some better pics or give me an idea of how you have done this?

If you're running a turbo setup, you won't have an "exhaust header". You'll have a turbo manifold. The turbo layouts are exceedingly similar to those on RSX's, so just look on sites like ClubRSX for photos.

^I saw it done with the RSX mounts once, but it was sketchy and they switched to Hasport mounts asap. You'll need to get Hondata as well.

Memo, is that a k24 civic that someone wrecked and in a junkyard?

You'd think they'd at least pull the motor, though it was a front end hit.

Cool find though!

Most DC5 exhaust manifolds will work on a K-swapped Civic.

I'm kinda of confused on the Hasport mount kit do you have to cut off any of the stock mount attached to the frame?

Nope. That's for some previous generation cars. Passenger mount gets bolted to frame, and the driver's side mount mounts to the existing engine mount. You do need a DC5 or EP3 (non-automatic) sub-frame, though.

Ok thats what I thought I'm stating to compile my list of parts for the swap I'm really considering it. It will be my first swap ever so I'm going a lot of reading. Also, if you use the k-tuned conversion harness I'm assuming you run the stock k-series harness with it, all the k-tuned harness does is allow everything in the dash like spedo, temp, fuel, and also your o2 sensors to function properly you don't have a whole new engine harness. Is that correct?

I wouldn't know from personal experience, because I went with Hybrid Racing's conversion harness. But, the conversion harness I have basically adds an oxygen sensor plug, 12v lead, and 12v on switch lead (which I wired to the cigarette lighter). The rest is all plug and play.

old wheels

This is my dialy. I bought it last year post swap but i know just about everything about it since i have not stopped reading, learning, and taking apart things and putting them back together as much as i could since i bought the car. anyways a quick mod list would be

2001 civic em2 ex **126k miles

engine: k20a2 rsx type s w/ 6 speed manual **49k miles
bolt ons:
Injen CAI,
DC sports 4-2-1 raceheaders,
Skunk2 megapower exhaust,

power: NRG ground kit

suspension: TIEN basic+ coilovers damper kit,
Skunk2 Rear Lower Arm Bar

wheels and tires: Rota SlipStream 15" dark brown gunmetal wrapped in Kumho rubber, **Update... 17" Falken

Body: CF hood, de-winged, de-bagded except for the H on the back center of trunk lid, Xenon Conversion KIT H4 5000K front lights

Interior: Pioneer 7" Flip out DVD,
JDM 06 Integra TypeR RSX DC5 MOMO Steering Wheel

Im not gonna tell you how much i paid so dont ask. but i can honestly tell you that if you think you can do a K20a2 swap complete for $5k then i wish you good luck but you should expect to be more in the $10k range if you want to be serious.

I haven't had it dyno'd since one of the mounts is going bad now so im gonna replace the urethane and get back with some numbers. For those who are considering this swap i strongly recommend it. Great fun for a daily driver and i may not be big on drag racing but nothing beats pulling up to some meatball who easily sleeps on the civic and then dusting them like they are sitting still. I may not have the prettiest Em2 K20a2 but i love it.

Thanks and hope you like it.

Me my EM2 Peace
