I used: http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=378
Here is how mine turned out
Very good product. Found @ walmart. Make sure you fork out the extra 2$ a can for the "professional" version of this product.
You can see here how dark it stays:

what is the benefit of using undercoat? i know it's good to have there, but i'm just in for the specifics... ???
Re: ♠ Shaved, Tucked, Customized Engine Bays - Pics, Theory, Discussion ♠
its soft. if you just painted it, debris from the road would chip the paint and then you would have rust. i doubt most people know that, they just do it because thats what was there before they ripped their car apart.
now, if it were me, i would have sprayed POR15 on there, then painted over it and youd have fenderwells that were as pretty as the body, yet still didnt chip. actually, they'd survive a tactical nuke at that point, and NOT look like a truck bed liner.

^this guy wants to have painted fender wells. Some people paint Murals inside the fender wells. Some people spray undercoating. Some people don't do anything.
Personally being raise in/around a automotive store/body shop the undercoating is just something we always have done.
Living in Oregon where it rains all the time with dirty roads the last thing id do is paint why wheel wells any color that would show dirt/grime.
It honestly just depends what you want to do. I like the looks of the black. Thats just what i consider proper.

por15 will accomplish the exact same thing as undercoating as far as corrosion prevention. but yea, i was not considering the undercoating to be road grime camoflauge.

Oh, it will be getting COMPLETELY stitch welded also (since in my integra thread you were speaking of people that only weld the front 1/2 of the car and dont touch the rear)

Weak!EG, just seeing that wood holding your car up. Imagining how much pressure you have to apply to that wire wheel to get that **** off gives me chills. Glad to see you made it out alive!
Re: ♠ Shaved, Tucked, Customized Engine Bays - Pics, Theory, Discussion ♠
he has a lot more things holding it up than just that wood. Don't worry about his safety, he has that taken care of

As far as wire wheel pressure, I only used a wire wheel on the air drill to get the seam sealer out of all the little cracks after the undercoating is gone. To scrape the under coating i used a chisel that i sharpened on the grinder periodically and after i scrapped the majority off with that, i used an 80 grit flap wheel on the grinder for a smooth finish.

Filled 88 holes in the bay, will also be filling/sanding/blocking the entire bay. Mounting the coils under the dash along with all OEM fuses and relays in the rear passenger bin. I will also be doing an ABS delete and a few other goodies. Will post more pics when i get more work done!
