Stitch weld them, and use some seam sealer between the stitches. Strength > looks.

So my buddy Phillip came down and we went to town on the bay last night. As I said we focused on filling the bigger holes.

cleaning metal to weld up

Testing fit

Tac in place

Weld

and walla

same thing with the old brake line holes

but placed the metal in the back side

The ultimate hole filled.....

traced out our pattern

cut it out

start welding it in

then started sanding it down

Then Phillip started some filler

also started welding and smoothing the motor mount

Not going to work on it tonight... but I'll keep cleaning up tomorrow

great friend of mine hooked me up with a full energy suspension bushing kit awhile ago and I haven't done anything with it yet. But since my car is all apart I figured I'd finally get around to doing something with it.

I havent installed anything yet and will shortly but damn did I get all upset at my car last night... everything came out like butter until the very last bolt...

So I lit that bitch on fire!

and grabbed the cut wheel

what a pain in the *** now I need to clean out the old bushing still

and this is the mess it left

Gusset that subframe and those lower control arms, while you're at it.

So we decided that it would be better to weld everything verses weld some and mud some... so I spent the first part of the night trying to remove all the filler we had previously laid

then cleaned so we could weld

had a lot of troubles with the welder. I had to go get a new tank of gas an then had to go get new rod as I ran out of both... then we couldn't get the welder adjusted correctly at first so it was welding like crap. We eventually got everything smoothed out and it started welding smoother

spent hours grinding lol

I know it looks rough... my back was hurting

and then welded up the other side after I cleaned out the filler

as she sits

So I spent around 5 hours today working on the damn car... man this is a lot of work... and I feel like I haven't even made a dent in it!

so here was where I started

pain in the *** and no where done

started griding and didn't like how it was looking

so I, yes I, rewelded it.

also rewelded the bottom of this section

and added more filler to the side

then started focusing on the other side

grinded down

started the sides

and spent a lot of time here

hard to tell but it's looking great IMO. Some filler will clean it up alot and smooth it out great!

So I took a break from the bay today and focused on my engine. I just wanted to seperate it from the trans and get it on a stand. I will start working on it from here now

So here is what I started with:

Then I started pulling off the supercharger, harness and misc

and to be safe started boxing up all my parts lying around

Busted the engine hoist back out

lifted her up so I could take the trans off

then pulled the trans off

threw it up on the stand

and done

redid my FPR again today while I'm finished up welding.

So I made a template

cut it out

smoothed it out

drilled the holes

test it out

bolted it where I'm running it

welded it quick

and sanded it down

I'll clean it up more later when I get to this side. Phillip went to town starting the driver side and I must say HOT DAMN

it is so smooth and gonna look sick
