So these pictures were all plucked from threads on Honda-Tech? These pictures of cars built by Honda (most, anyway)? Why call people out for their photography, when they're showing their Hondas on a Honda forum? This thread just uncalled-for. Even on photography forums, I haven't seen anyone locked up in the e-stockades for taking "bad" pictures and had their photos showcased in a thread of shame. Simply unnecessary.

Why can't people just take a pic without being judged about it. Some guys on here are starting to act like females!!!! No offense to the female users

Maybe I should post some pictures that I took with my DSLR in HIN Pleasanton.

Wasn't much Hondas I could take because it was always so crowded around them. Point n shoots can basically do what a DSLR can do except without the high resolution and a million more settings to get it perfectly right. But, I can tell you guys I have no idea how to focus on a point and shoot for close up macro shots so yea...

This is a beautiful picture. I love that warm texture feeling you can set for white balance but dunno about PnS cameras.

I agree with the OP. I hate looking at shitty pics with neck breaking angles. We all gotta start somewhere I guess. I fell into this category some years back. I use a DSLR but my wife has a couple of PnS's and she takes superb photos.

I have to judge because if someone told me I take shitty pics then it would motivate me to take better ones. use this as motivation. ultimately I think this is the idea the OP had but he went about it in a way that would make people defensive.

The more years I spend on HT and the older I get I find that I don't nearly care as much about peoples opinions as I used to in the past. My recent arguements with you have helped me formulate this philosophy I have now with this site. Alot of people say they "could give two *****" about what people think but deep down they really do. I've broke away from that and everyone on HT should do the same.

CLIFFS: arguing over different opinions is useless on this site

EDIT:

I'm just a amateur and what I did was just spending some time, and get it right. Everyone can take a decent photograph of their car, it's about how much effort you put into it. Compare with other people's work and practice. You can't heel toe like a pro the first minute you started learning how to drive stick. ^_^ But, you get better. Each shift becomes smoother and smoother.

i think this is all OP was really going for, but most of these people that take bad pictures in here are getting way too sensitive.

i just hate when people take mediocre pictures at best and then watermark them and expect people to jerk their dick, when the pictures, in actuality, sucka da big dicka.

HA. that's how you learn. you 'imitate' shots you like. you imitate poses or angles or lighting techniques. you're not going to have to opportunity to use the same car or locale as most of these people so you borrow their techniques to learn from them. don't be ignorant and make posts like that when you don't know what you're talking about.

ok, but you are still doing something you have a passion for. im sure that 95% of these " bad " pictures taken came from people that just took a picture and really didnt care how it came out. i guess if someone went into detail they would have made better shots, or like that guy said if i copy someones angel of picture i can have a desent shot, and i have learnd alot from my arguments with you also, and i did apologyze for all the stupid **** i said.. so in a sense i have alot respect for you cause of those arguments..

and what does this have to do with the topic? not a damn thingf just throwing out there

Apparently, the people in this thread talking **** and complaining can't figure out that it doesn't take a rocket scientist or a $2,000 camera to GET A DAMN CAR IN FOCUS AND IN THE CENTER OF THE FRAME!!!!!!!!

JEEBUS TITTY****ING CHRIST! What did some of you people do before digital cameras?

(I forgot, half of you kids are part of a generation that never used film cameras)

SLRs or just the film PnS? Film PnS you don't even need to focus. Depth of field is fixed and basically everything you take is in range. LOL

I was talking about film P&S. It's not like you have to focus a digital P&S (other than pushing the shutter half way) or even a cell phone camera either.

Considering the folks that took the crappy pics couldn't even get a car completely in frame with a DIGITAL camera that lets you preview and/or instantly see your image, I could only imagine how terrible they would be with a film P&S.
