Icon4 crank, no start. 2003 accord. Help!?

Crazy story to me, maybe you can make some sense of it.

My battery died while I was waiting on my GF who was in a store shopping. A jump start wouldn't fix it so I took the battery to get it charged. The charged battery wouldn't start the car. I had a bad starter so I had to replaced it. Car started once and allowed me to get home. On the next start the starter sounded disengaged and spinning freely, so I took it out again and tested it at auto zone. Sure enough it was bad. So I've replaced the starter again but it won't start my car.

I give the back story because it is quite bizarre to me...I'm not used to electrical relays or shut offs. Brand new battery, brand new starter, but no start. When I turn the key to auxillary the fans come on and it will try to crank on full turn. To me, it sounds like its not getting fuel. Is there some sort of shut off switch that needs to be tripped? Or a fuel pump relay? I'm hoping its something simple. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don't take this the wrong way but I'm not following the issue?

So when you turn the key to "start" what is happening.....the starter spins the engine but it won't run.....or the starter does nothing?

If you turn the key to "on"/pos II, does the check engine light and key light come on for a few seconds and go off?

At the same time when the key is first turned "on", does the fuel pump run for a few seconds and then stop?

Engine and trans might help to know as well.......

This is a 2003 Accord, V6, automatic transmission.
When the key is initially in the auxillary position there is a light that says Maint requ'd as well as the engine icon. Once I try to start the car, the engine tries to turn over (you can also see on the tach), but doesn't start. The light that remains is the maint requ'd light, while the engine icon disappears.

I can hear the fuel pump turn on when listening through the gas tank. I've checked the fuses and the relay clicks appropriately.

There is ignition spark as well, tested by removing the plug and arching to metal.

I have purchased a simple scanner and am hoping to find a sensor or something that is bad, but I'm no mechanic.

The starter is definitely turning the motor, but no start. I am going to now try to figure out how to use this scanner.

Thanks for the reply and any other questions/advice you can give would be appreciated.
