accord coupe vs eropean accords
Well, it's been a while since my last visit here. I'm a happy owner of the 5gen prelude but I'm thinking of an alternative now. I'm into accord coupe which is not available on the European market so I wonder if having imported one from America I will have to rely on ebay any time I need anything. I guess most of you are equally well versed in European hondas as me in American versions, still I'm sure there are some people who know quite a bit about it. I'd be really happy to know what are the parts and components that are interchangable between American and European accords or even other models. I'd also like to know if your sedans and coupes share a lot - it would be really helpful for people driving american hondas here in Europe (there are plenty of them). Authorized dealers and workshops don't know much or aren't eager to help. I realize it's a broad topic but maybe it's worth a while. I'm not sure whether I put this thread in the right place; if not, please replace or remove it.

The European Accord is called the Acura TSX here in the US. You would be better helped if you went to AcuraZine and asked this question. The TSX owners would know what is interchangeable with the Accord.
You can also check out DriveAccord. Some of the guys there might know some of the interchangeable parts with the TSX.

Rob,
I have a a 2011 Coupe (2.4l AT, EX-L, 48k miles) sitting in Zurich Switzerland that needs a new home. Are you interested in a car that's already registered in Europe? To be clear I have not had any issues sourcing the consumables with regular dealer maintenance. I did have to wait 3 days to have the AC filter replaced when it was due, not an issue though. None of the mechanics read English well so you'll be responsible for things like resetting the oil reminder light as they don't have the procedure for that in their German service guide. The 2.4l motor is common enough that if you need mechanical parts a Honda shop can help you out.
Drop me a line if you are interested we can talk specifics.
