2008 Accord EX-L 4dr alarm randomly going off
As of about 30 min ago, the factory alarm on my car is randomly going off. It has happened 3 times now. I verified no one is touching it, because it went off randomly while parked in my garage.
Now the lock on the driver's side rear door hasn't been working correctly for a while (month?). It will not lock/unlock electronically (key-less or button inside car). The only way to unlock that door is by manually pressing on the inside lock/unlock button right next to the door handle.
I suspect the 2 are related, just not sure why it just started to affect the alarm today.
Any ideas?
TIA
Edit: It looks like if I leave the car unlocked, the alarm doesn't randomly go off.

Bear in mind, I'm a grad student who took Int'l Business; however:
Here's the likely deal:
1. Honda arm/disarm signal is sent from driver's door sometimes into a single blue wire which arms when doors are locked and key is out of ignition.
2. doors unlocked and unattended = alarm unarmed
3. doors locked and alarm armed/set = about 30mins later an alarm blaring/flashing parking lights.
it appears that water/rain or liquid substance sticky with sugar got into the unlock button on the driver's door. Two options;
a) unplug power lock connector from underneath the bad connector in driver's door.
b) can get a new power door lock button for an estimated $5-$50 range new/used and swap that piece, which should 99% likely fix the problem.
c) pull fuse for factory alarm if the the above suggestions don't work?
