Windshield Defogger HELP!!!
ok my defogger sucks. it doesnt do anything therefore i have to open my windows in the rain. I want to know what the problem may be. Now if i put my hand on the vent i don't feel any air flow maybe a little breeze. If i look at the windshield it slowly defogs the bottom part of the windshield only to about 4 inches. I don't know if i have a leak or a clog somewhere. Where do i start. (I am going to autozone to buy a haynes manual) but what can i do in the meantime to check. It's been raining for the past 3 days now and i need this fixed because i cant have my windows open luckily its been drizzling im screwed if it starts pouring. I am also going to buy that liquid you apply on your windshield in autozone to stop the fog ..does that work well

ac doesnt get cold it just blows light air. My heat is freaking crazy.. it gets really hot . If i turn my dial to the 3, or 4 settings the ac/hot air makes this loud noise kind of like a generator.

The defogger uses the A/C to rid the air of moisture, and then the air is run over the heater to warm it up. So, if you A/C is not working well, that is part of your problem.
I can't really tell from your post how much air is coming out of the defogger vents. You say not much, but then there is still enough to make 4" of fog disappear. If you put it on speed 4, does a decent amount of air come out of the defroster? Make sure to close the two side vents. Maybe part of your problem is something is messed up in your mode control system/motor. Its on the driver-side of the whole heating/cooling system.

you need to find the leak in the a/c system and repair it. after that you need evacuate the system and test the system by holding it on a vaccum for at leat 4 hours and if it holds, recharge it.
Your a/c removes the moisture from the air by blowing it across the cold evaporator core (the moisture in the air condenses on the cold surface) and then warms it up with the heater core.

when i put it on speed 4. It makes alot of noise like i have a damn generator under the hood. It only makes loud noise on speed 4 and i know its not supposed to be that loud. Heat works very good, AC takes a long time to coool in the summertime so i usually rode with the windows open so all the ladies could see my pretty face
