whats up everyone, i changed my oil yesterday .. and i guess i put a little too much in it. the oil line rises maybe 3 -4 centimers higher than the second hole in the dipstick .. is this alrite .. or do i need to drain some?

If the oil is too deep in the oil pan the crank spinning around can froth the oil, when that occurs a large part of the engine lubrication is lost.

I would recommend that you remove the excess amount.

I second that advice. You can cause a lot of engine damage if the oil is too high.

alrite i'll have to drain it .. its probably acutally like only 2 centimeters over the hole .. does that make a difference?

Yes drain it put the oil at the hole.

Drain it. But no need to take the drain plug all the way out. Un-screw just enough so that oil can slowly drain to the correct level.

thats exactly what i was going to do .. BUT i checked my oil right before i did it .. and it was exactly on the second hole .. so it was perfect. i dont know wtf happend when i was looking at it earlier in the day .. i'm retarded

You must have had the engine running when you checked it. You should have the car off when checking it. Also a hot engine makes it harder to read the exact point (in my experience).

the engine definatley wasnt running .. but yea i dunno wtf it was
