Icon2 Serious Question (Transmisson)

Basically, lately I have been hear a groaning noise in my wheel well, I thinking it could be my brake pads but I not really sure. What makes me think its my transmission because when I am at a stop light and I take off its seems to be slow unless I stick foot in it and then it a hard shift. I have already tried uing Lucas Transmission Fix for hard shifting it was fine but now its coming back.

Should I drain my transmission and but new fluid in it? What should I do?

Grinding noise in wheel well can be a bad wheel bearing.

Also, try using gm synchromesh in your tranny.

You would be able to smell the brakes, maybe it's the rotors. Don't bother with that lucas crap. All you can really do is drain, put in seafoam trans tune (cleaner not an additive) and genuine Honda DW-1 ATF , drive for a bit while going through each gear. Drain and repeat. That or have it rebuilt. If the transmission fluid color is dark brown, have it changed asap. It should be reddish pink. Tune up wouldn't hurt either.

You might look at the wear indicators on the inside pads and see if they are rubbing on the disc. Also, might be more than one problem.

Well, I have checked my transmission fluid and its a redish pink color, I think I am going to go with the brakes, just brought my brakes tonight for my work, so I will changed them tomorrow. I have had them on my car for a year and some change. Hopefully that is the problem, if its my wheel bearing I have no idea how to change that, but I'm sure I will be able to figure it out. Lately I have been hearing this knocking noise as well in my wheel well, I think I am going to have to change me CV Axles in both sides, its only happening if I hit a bump, speed bump or when I turn the wheel when backing up in reverse what do you think?

Well I changed my brakes today, and notice that I have grooves on the inside of my rotor. Well I guess I will have to buy new rotors any suggestions, slotted or regular.

Regular rotors are fine as long as they are not made in China. Look for a good brand.
