Default Right Side Wheel noise

So here is the deal. When I put the car in reverse, it makes a humming noise from the right side front wheel. After I put into 1st it sounds like something is scraping against metal. I hit the brakes and it stops. It doesn't do it all of the time, only every once and a while. I've had the car up and the wheel off and I can't see anything that is rubbing. Could it be bearings? Any Ideas?
