Security system LED. What's a good location for a 1992 Accord?
I'm getting a new alarm system installed next week and the installer wants me to pick a location for the LED.
What's a good location for a 1992 Accord?
Any pictures?
Thanks,
Zak

I personally never put that light in the car. One three cars, you don't want them to know you have an alarm. If they see the light they will figure out where the hood release cable runs under the front bumper and grill and yank it. Then they will be expecting a hood pin to be, if they push down on the hood pin while yanking the hood up from the safety position the hood pin will deem ineffective, then they can do anything from pulling the main fuse to disconnecting the battery etc. Used windows on a 92 Accord are about $10 bucks, or you could have hundreds stolen in equipment since they had you figured out. Also, people put the fake lights in there anyway, so they are going to go right for the battery to cover there ***. I would leave it out, let them be suprised and panic.

Which is why you use a mercury switch for the hood near the wiper cowl.
