Hi,

I have a 1999 Honda Accord EX Coupe.

I replaced a bad window regulator on the passenger door and it seems to work fine.

However, when you roll up the window there is still a small gap at the front of the window above the rear view mirror.

The panel is still off and there seems to be a lot of play with the window. I can hold the front of the window up, roll up the window and it closes fine. Without doing that, there is a small gap. All of the regulator bolts seem to be tight and the window appears to be in the channels. Any other thoughts or suggestions for how to adjust or fix this?

Just came in from the garage after messing with it some more. There are actually two gaps, one in front where I described earlier and one in back. When the window raises, the window seems to tilt forward. It is in the tracks, but tilts forward. I am thinking the regulator is bad or bent. I am going to see if I can get a replacement for it.

Like I said earlier, with the new regulator, there is a lot of play in the window, I reinstalled the old one and there is no play or tilting of the window.

If I am missing an adjustment, please someone let me know.

Is this an aftermarket window regulator? The aftermarket window regulators for Hondas are junk. I spent nearly an hour trying to get an aftermarket one to work without gaps before giving up and buying a new one from Honda. The OEM Honda one when in with zero issues.

It is after market, I guess that's what I get for trying to save $150. I have left a message and an email with the manufacturer. We'll see if I get a response.
