Maintenance Required Light?

Maintenance Required Light?
Recently my Maintenance required light started blinking when I started my car, and then shuts off after a few seconds. Does this mean I need to have maintenance done on my car? anyone know?

I'm not 100% sure but I think that's just letting you know it's time for an oil change, brake job, etc. Before long it'll come on and stay. Mine is on right now. Really I think it's so people will worry and go blow money at the dealership having their car maintenanced lol. If you do all the work yourself regularly, I would just search and find out how to turn it off. I used to know how but have forgotten. Sorry. It's really easy though.

Re: Maintenance Required Light? (mrcocks)
the acura dealership in my area told me it does that every 7000 miles . its a way for them to make money and turn it off. i turn mine off myself, there is a little black box with a blue button on it under the dash on the driver side and that reset it.

it's different for different years to reset the light. Check the FAQ for the procedure for your year Accord.

Re: Maintenance Required Light? (TouringAccord)
99% of the time its just holding the trip button down while the key is off, then (while holding the button) turn it to ignition (engine off tho) and hold it for 10 seconds.

Also, how can it be that way 99% of the time when the 90-97 Accord you simply push a reset button while the 98-02 Accords require that procedure?
Besides, no one even knows what year Accord the OP has.
