Default Heater Unit question

I do not have a cable connected to #8 in the diagram which seems to be the air mix controller. Can anyone explain how the cable should connect and from what? I'd assume the Hot/Cold **** should directly impact that. Also, what connects to the heater core valve by the firwall?

#10 in this diagram, showing the cable - where does this go from the Hot/Cold ****? Something seems incorrectly lol

Look up "blend door adjustment" for a 94 or early 95 Accord and it should show you how and where the cables run....95 1/2 and up had a different cable which no longer had the adjustment.

So you removed the cover (#3 in the first pic by removing #18) and there are no cables there?

I didn't have to take a cover off (#3). It and #18 were apparently missing in action (not surprised). #8 does not have a cable connected to it.

I do see a cable still connected to the water valve going into the firewall from the engine bay.
I also see a cable from the Temp Controller which goes into the abyss behind the dash that I couldn't track at the time.

I did a search as you recommended and found this -

2) Cable #1 - This runs from the control head to the Heater Box's temperature control door actuator arm.
3) Cable #2 - This runs from the Heater Box's temperature control door actuator arm to the Hot Water Control Valve.

Going to dig more, as this still isn't something I can picture in my head yet lol

Time to "find waldo" - if the cables are at the "other ends" then they have to be somewhere.

Thanks man - I am going to find Waldo tonight! lol. It looks like #3 should actually have 2 cables connecting to it. So they are hidden in there somewhere

Yes there are two cables....one from the **** to the lever, then another from the lever to the valve.

Number 10 in the two pictures are the two DIFFERENT cables.

Ok so I got everything connected again. Not perfectly as I was rushing in the dark. Going to make final adjustments tomorrow or Thursday. It feels good to make progress, as little as it may be

Glad you found "waldo('s)" and were able to get them connected. If you have issues with the final adjustments let us know and we'll see if we can help.

I wish - The actuating arm is missing entirely. Just the 'brick' is there.

This car making me very worried about how the previous owners lived lol
