heater cable replacement
I have a 2000 Si. I went to put my motor in last night (again), after ordering and replacing the heater/water valve hoses that I forgot to order months ago. I did a quick check on the valve, I had my wife turn the red/blue **** and nothing happened. I started jiggling the cable and still nothing happened when she turned the ****.
I stuck a tool in the loop at the end of the cable and gave a little tug. The whole damn cable came out. It looked straight, as though it was a loop and I straightened it with the pulling action. So after 12 months the motor is ready to go in and now I have to special order a new $3 heater cable.
How does one replace this cable? Exactly where in the dash does the cable connect? I need to check that out because I may have broken the **** the cable attaches too. Thanks!

Re: heater cable replacement (( o )( o ))
This cable would attach to the under side of the heater controls. There also should be a spot where it is held in place under the dash on the passanger side. Like a black metal tab that is folded over on itself. Good luck..
