i have a 96 honda accord lx and the timing belt broke so i replaced it and when i started it i found out it had bent valves . so i bought a 94 honda accord lx with 122000 on the engine for 300 from a friend so i decided to swap the engines. while doing this i put a crank sensor in front of the engine and used my old distributor from my old f22b2 and when cranking the engine i found out that the distributor wobbles when cranking it and their is a clicking noise coming from the rocker going up and also all the timing marks are perfect except for the distributor it says its on cylinder 3 when piston one is up

i'm asking why does the distributor and rock do that but my main question is why does everything line up except for the distributor

Because the newer OBDII distributor is different from the older style adjustable OBDI distributor.

Sounds like you put the distributor in 180 degrees off.

Take if back off and turn the distributor shaft 180 degrees...a half turn...and put it back in.

Also you need to swap both the crank timing pulley AND the oil pump from the old motor to the new one. If you only swapped one you're halfway there.

first off, what exactly are the engine codes on both motors..were aware you have one f2b2 but if im not mistaking the f2b2 came in the 97 lx too, if thats the case then your swapping parts from one b2 to another (both obd1) check timing, check timing and then.....check timing again
