Default F22B Rods/Pistons

For the engine builders:

Do h23 aftermarket rods *actually* work in an f22b? If so/not, who makes decent rods besides crower for the F22b?

Also, who makes some decent pistons for the f22b?

Thanks

I'm about to install 11:1 Wiseco pistons from raceeng.com. They aren't installed yet, but I just thought I'd give you a starting point. I'm going with my stock rods on this build. Are your plans turbo or N/A?

Thank you for the reply. This is for a turbo build.

all kinds of ppl make pistons for the F/b, just google your engine plus the part you need. as far as 11:1 . . uh, unless you plan some uber engine management, 11:1 for FI is a poor starting point, especially since the stock comp on the F/b is 8.5:1. If turbo is your plan, you may even bump it down some. I have 9.5:1 in my f from CP. ultimately, you budget will determine the product you get. Eagle makes rods for the F too, but the bottom line is you can make virtually anything fit with the proper machining.

I agree. I'm staying n/a.

Arias also makes some pistons.. although u know that f22;s have a low compression # stock.. so.. just be sure not to lower that # too much.. cuz then it will be overkill..

true dat, I was thinking 8.0:1 at the lowest, but even with 9.5:1 at 10#, a vortech unit (1:8, 1:10, 1:12) and 255lph pump is really ok. at the beginning of the whole process on my car I ran the vortech with the stock pump and no other real mods for a while and was totally fine (93octane always) so it's not as touchy as some might have you believe, but I don't have to worry about corn gas or other modifiers.

Thank you for the replies guys, but we strayed off the topic somewhat.

Just looking for manufacturers of aftermarket pistons and rods.

Thanks!
