Default a/c/instrument panel

Ok my A/C compressor doesnt work so I used a paper clip in the A/C compressor slot in the fuse box to run the A/C compressor straight and the clutch kicked on. But when i take the paperclip out it stops. I tried two different fuses but it wouldn't work. Is it the fuse box or compressor. The instrument cluster is controlled by the same slot and the exact same thing happens with it...forgive the long explanation. Please help if not confused.lol

The ac uses a high and low pressure sensor. If the criteria isnt meeting requirements then the system will keep itself in a safe mode and not allow the clutch to cycle. It could be due to too much freon or not enough. Could be a switch etc but most likely the level of freon in the system

Unplug the ac pressure switch and check for continuity. If no continuity then your refrigerant is too low = a leak in the system somewhere.

OP - What year is your car? Also, your post is a bit confusing, is the ac panel not coming on/working?
