99 accord ex 4cyl blows smoke
hello everyone I have a 99 Honda accord ex 4 cyl and when I get on it, it blows smoke not sure the color b/c im in the car and can oly see the smoke in my rear view but any suggestions on what to check. or do? is it normal?

okay can you give me an idea on what to look for? if my distributor o ring is bad or the v tech gasket would that do it? cause it to smoke?

Smoking exhaust is usually caused by worn piston rings or worn valve guides to name a few. How many miles on your car? Could also be a PVC issue.

Jdowen2 means pcv. Like he stated most likely the valve guides/seals. Not UN common for those engines to burn oil due to bad guides/seals for the valves.
As far as where to start. Do a compression test first. It's the cheapest.
While I'm thinking of it. Pull the intake tube off of the throttle body and open the butterfly. If you see a lot of oil in the throttle body, on the butterfly, in the manifold and even in the intake tube, you have blow by and need valve stem seals.
How many miles on the engine?
