Excessive tailpipe smoke

Excessive tailpipe smoke
Hi, I recently did a full rebuild on my 99 accord f23. Replaced rods, pistons, oil pump, all seals and gaskets, etc. I am planning on boosting the car, and wanted to rebuild to engine before I boost it. I have been driving the car a little bit since the rebuild. When the car gets above 3.5k, it pours white smoke out the tailpipe. I did a compression test, passed with flying colors since it has brand new rings. I’m not really sure what else to check, I replaced the valve stem seals and bought a new PCV valve but only made it smoke a little less. I’m not sure what could be causing this, but I do know it is oil it’s burning so I need to check it pretty often. Also the motor only has about 70 miles on it since the rebuild. Any ideas?

White smoke is usually a sign of coolant/water being burnt in the combustion chamber, are you 100% sure it's oil? Blueish grey is usually the colour of burning oil. If you are down in oil in only 70 miles then it would be oil.
What method did you use to break in the engine? What type of oil did you use and did you use any oil additives for break-in?
Where you have done a compression test and found all cylinders to be good, you should try a leak down test as well.

you rebuilt it yourself? first time rebuilding? were critical specs checked before reassembly (deck and head flatness, bore roundness and taper, bearing and ring clearances)?

Re: Excessive tailpipe smoke
I found out what my issue was. I had not installed the oiling rings on the pistons. Once I found out what I did, I immediately started taking it apart so I could install the rings. Only took me a day or so to get it all back together, and no smoke at all anymore. Before it would smoke like a diesel but it was oviously the rings. Put some more miles on it and still no smoke 😎
