Re: 98 honda accord v6 idle surges (tonycvl)
is there a check engine light?if not:
first check the throttle cable for proper opperation
then check the throttle body with the engine running by hand to see if it is sticking when released.if it is sticking then first clean it and the intake. or bring it to honda to have it cleaned then if that dosent help you will need to remove and readjust the throttle body according to the factory specs. Check the trrottle body valve for signs of play or binding if there is play then replace the throttle body.
If this dosent work you will need to bring the car to honda to have someone properly diag,, the car with the pgm tester.

You need an Idle Air Control Valve. Eventually, you will set a P0505.
At this time, I have a new, Honda OEM part available, but it's on Ebay, now; so it may go anytime.
