Default '98 Accord heater not blowing heat

When I switch the heater on any fan speed, I can barely feel the air coming out of the vents and it doesn't get warm at all.

When I turn it to AC, I am able to get a little bit of air through the vents.

Ideas?

Check the blower motor to be sure it is working and while there inspect the cabin air filter.

Next check for HVAC codes from the unit....any codes?

Nope, no codes. Would a bad motor also cause the A/C not to work as well?

Are you sure you checked for HVAC codes, not like CEL codes and no code reader needed. It is a process where you have to use some of the controls on the HVAC unit to get them to display on the face of the HVAC unit.

Check the blower motor - you only get a "little" air when in AC. The reason I asked about HVAC codes is if one of the "mode" or "mix" motors is having issues then you could see a bit more air flow in one mode than the other. Also asked about the cabin air filter???

Does your 6th gen have dual HVAC or standard HVAC?

And I now see that you have a few other issues related to wiring with the car in another thread........https://honda-tech.com/honda-accord-...r-off-3270129/

Yeah I've got a few electrical issues with this car. It has a standard HVAC but I need to find out what the process is to get the HVAC codes and i'll get back to you with an update.

Standard HVAC controls......but if you have other electrical issues they might all be related.

Ok I tried it per the instructions you gave me and I didn't get anything so I tried looking on forums for an HVAC diagnostic and tried those methods but nothing worked. I think I may be doing it wrong.

Attached is the A/C control in my car.

Again, you have known wiring issues in the car, aftermarket radio of unknown install and that.

So giving advise on OE settings and procedures might not help much. Then add that the 6th gen's with "manual HVAC" have what I will call a common or known issue with the PCB in the HVAC unit going bad.......a real "rats nest" of a thing to figure out.

Apply power and ground directly to the blower motor......does it spin and give good air flow?

With the key "on"/pos-II, turn the temp **** from hot to cold as someone watches the heater control valve (pass/right side of the firewall) move at all?
