Default A/C Issue

I have a 2006 Honda Accord EX. The driver's side vents are blowing hot air instead of A/C as the passenger side does. It does have dual air control. We've tried all setting changes and it doesn't change anything. We noticed a ticking sound in the driver's side vents for a while before this happened. Sounded kind of like it sounds when you get a leaf stuck down in the vents. Wondering if it is a separate fan or motor on that side? Any thoughts?

Two things - check for codes in the HVAC unit....it has a self test mode you can do by holding the right buttons down for "x" and that - sorry too tired to look it up.

Second - have the pressures (high and low) tested in the AC system.

Drivers side temp motor is dead. The clicking was the motor slipping. You can remove the motor and move the arm manually to get some cold air on that side until you can replace it.

Stick your head under the drivers dash and you will see the motor on the side of the hvac box. Turn the temp control from hot to cold and see if the motor moves. If it is working ok, you probably have low refrigerant.
