97 accord fan problem
97 accord f22b2 having a problem with the fans, they won't kick on unless the ac is on then they both work. So I know it's not the fans. Where should I start looking?

WATER PUMP - SENSOR for 1997 Honda ACCORD SEDAN
part number 16 and you only want to buy cooling system thermostats and sensors from the dealer, I would get the thermostat as well since you're right there, again, only buy cooling system parts OEM from the Honda dealer, or from that website.

It's possible the fan relay is bad. You can swap it with a power window relay and see if the fans work. However, unless the temperature gets to a certain level they won't come on. You can test, put the ignition to on, but don't turn the car on and then take off the connector going to the switch you just replaced and put a paperclip into the connector to jumper it and the fans should turn on.

I have done this and the fans do come on with a jumper wire, replaced the switch and it still doesn't come on when it gets up to temp

Where did you get the switch from, if the rad fan turns on with a jumper that only leaves the switch as the problem.
Did you bleed the coolant system after replacing the switch? 94

How should I bleed it? I changed t stat while I was there, filled it up with the heat on and rad cap off and let it idle until it go to about 210

If ya still coming up empty, just straight wire the fan with a inline fuse to a switch, or ya could use a relay and activate it with your parking lights or something.

Ok sounds like you didnt crack the bleeder bolt on top of the thermostat housing when you filled the radiator so an air bubble appeared but eventually it unstuck.
Anytime you open the system you have to crack the bleeder bolt when you fill the radiator. Then when coolant comes out you close it and continue filling the radiator.
