On my '95 Integra, code 4-4 is right-rear wheel sensor. I don't know what years/cars have the same list of ABS codes... Good source is a Helm shop manual; that's a good thing to have if you wanna fix it yourself.

thanks a bunch. yes it is a faulty right rear wheel speed sensor. after searching online i actually found a cool site with a bunch of the actual honda/acura shop manuals in pdf format (these are the big 1500+ page books the dealers use.) now if only i could find a wheel sensor for less than $100.

you might be able to pull a used one from a wrecked car for a few bucks...if you cross-check the part-numbers you might be able to use 90-97 (or something like that).

i've replaced the sensor with a used one that checked okay with the voltometer (ohms were at about 800+ which is in the 600-900 acceptable range per manual). still have the same error code showing up. i've cleaned it. same problem. cleaned pulser. same problem. pulled out the fuses (along with some hair). still the same problem. damn you DTC 4-4 "Right-rear Wheel Sensor"...my ***! help me if you can.
