I noticed there is a picture of two solenoids on the informative link. You can clean the solenoids in and out with a carb cleaner. But I don't think it's the solenoids. I think Civic4dr2000 has a bigger problem.

A stuck on shift light means only three things. Something's wrong with the bulb circuit, your TCU is starving for power or your TCU is calling it quits. If you can't afford a new TCU or a TCU troubleshooting then build your own push shift button. You only need a couple buttons wired to the solenoid. Turns your auto to a manual. However, there could be a much simpler problem.

Noticed that you have code 43 of the fuel supply system. The standard procedure requires that you fix this problem first because this problem could set off the sport shift light. If you're lucky this is simply a dead O2 heater circuit or an extra lean mixture probably form a clogged fuel filter or a dead Fuel Pressure Regulator. Without that extra horsepower or fuel pressure the TCU won't let you go past second. Going past second is useless if the supplied power is simply too low.

ok guys on saturday and imgoing to get new fuel pressure regulator,filter and o2 sensor i will let you know what happens.....one more question i noticed that the open door display on the dash comes on alot as im going down the highway it says all the doors and the trunk are open any ideas????????

Swapping parts is much more expensive than the tool that measures the fuel pressure. Last, I'd check a functional low cost fuel pressure test kit is $8-$15. (Expect 40--47 psi for your Accord.) Or you can swap those parts you've mentioned for $300, add labor that's another $100 or so.

Just replace the fuel filter, add some Techron fuel cleaners and clamp the fuel return line (as a simple test) then reset the computer and see if the problems goes away.

The doors and the trunk light coming on means that there is a short somewhere. That may explained why the "S" light stuck on. A short is taken seriously when it interferes with the electrical of the fuel or drivetrain system. You may have to trace it.

I agree with Honda Wrench. You could spend an awful lot of money throwing parts at it, before you change the right one. Do some troubleshooting, to try and narrow it down first.

ok here is the results i went to change my oil saturday and i noticed that the 02 sensor wires were laying on the axle and had rubbed all the rubber off the wires...... so i took and fixed the wires and the s light no longer comes on i dont know if that makes much cents but it fixed that as far as the engine light goes im gonna clamp the fuel return line and see waht happens so ill keep you all posted. thanks for all the useful info so far
