89 accord distributer
Posting for a buddy.. He has a fully built 89 accord with the A-series motor still, you know that old cast iron A series block
The block again is fully built with some custom fab stuff going on. Car has been converted to manual. This car is supporting a T3/T4 62-1 turbo.. The car is going full standalone but needs to replace the stock dizzy from points over to another signal other than. Looking at a distributer from an H22 and wondering if it can be modded to work ? Any thoughts on swapping a modern dizzy on that old A series 2.0ltr SOHC. Let us know need to figure this soon.
Other plans if all fails is elim., the complete distributer and go with a trigger set up and or coil on plug I guess. Again any thought on this would help cuz the standalone wont work with his stock distributer, and he dosent want to run a stupid hack on a OBD-0 ecu with boost.
Was wondering if he can just swap over to OBD-1 ecu and go with NepTune, but will the distributer be another problem still ? I guess all we can do for now is try fittin another honda distributer in there and see if we get it going.

Re: 89 accord distributor (SOHCmaster)
You might find this thread of interest to you. They fit a 4g accord dist. from the F22 and also converted the car to OBD 1.

You may also want to do some more searching around 3geez for more info on swapping the distributor.
I would like to see picks of the engine if you can get them.
