Will a 90-93 Accord motor fit in an 89 Accord LXi?
My beater 89 Accord has almost 290k original miles on the clock. It's starting to burn oil...badly. I want to put in a new motor, but I want to know if the 16-valve 90+ Accord motor will fit in my 89. Possible, or not possible?

YES it should bolt right it. If i were you i would try to find a 90-91 motor so you won't have to mess around with any of the OBD issues.

basically your accord is OBD-0 and a 92-93 motor is OBD1. So if you could try to find a 90-91 motor.
OR>>>>>>>the other possible thing that you could do is just swap over the long block!
get any newer F22 LONG-block (non-vtec) along with the driver side mount for that specif motor.
-then swap over you exhust manifold and intake manifold and your done. That way you'll have a super new motor with very, very little work. Also you won't have to mess around with any wireing what so ever! Yes you can use your stock ecu too.
