2001 Honda Accord Oxygen Sensor
My check engine light went on and I have some questions.
I went to Autozone, ran the codes w/ their scanner and it said the following:
Code P1259
Code 1166 & 1167
It gave me 3 codes back, first one for P1259 -- I have no clue why it gave me that because my engine is ULEV!!!! ?? WTF?
But my concern is 1166 and 1167 which is the Oxygen sensor.
How do I know which oxygen sensor to replace?

Re: 2001 Honda Accord Oxygen Sensor (Terabass)
1166 and 1167 both refer to problems with the primary sensor heater circuit. The primary sensor is the one in the exhaust manifold (whereas the sencondary sensor would be located in the cat).
1259 is a VTEC system malfunction. Even though your car is ULEV, it still has the VTEC system.

Ok that was stupid reply of me. I thought ULEV was some kind of VTEC bullshit but not VTECH. But its ULTRA LOW EMISSION
Ok anyway now when i know i wonder could the VTECH have problems in co-junction with the Oxygen sensor? .. cuz i think v-tech funcitons on that or with it

Re: (Terabass)
It's "VTEC"... there's no VTECH... just VTEC.
You probably have 2 separate problems. The O2 sensor is basically a "wear" item, so it's not surprising that it would need to be replaced. The primary O2 sensor does not affect the operation of VTEC.
Unfortunately, I do not have a more descriptive listing for the code 1259. However, I think it points to the VTEC oil pressure switch. I would recommend taking your car to a reputable shop to pinpoint the problem.

Re: 2001 Honda Accord Oxygen Sensor--related question
My 2001 Accord needs an AF O2 sensor. I have the engine type and Danso part number ok, but there is a compatible sensor from Germban on Amazon that is about half the cost. It has twice the warranty (2 years) and is heated (4 wire). Does anyone have any experience with Germban? It's like that is titania and not zirconia--is that potential problem?
Thanks for your time!
