best low cost combo welder (TIG-PLASMA CUTTER)
hello,
i am a hobbist and i build up my own turbo kits for almost any car (i have made an eg6 b16A2 with Garrett GT3071 and 400 HP at 1,1 Bar, and some fords)
I am tired of making crappy look (but very durable) exhaust manifolds and downpipes with my old stick 200A welder, and i plan to buy an everlast Power Pro 205 (ac-dc tig and plasma cutter) and a set of eastwood tig 200 and plasma cutter 60, both at about 1000 euros.
do you suggest sg else at this money?
have yoy ever tried these welders?
please answer...

I have an Everlast PowerPro 256 and it has worked great for everything I have used it for once I replaced the crappy torch that came with it. I don't use the Plasma cutter very much though, and if I was doing it again I would get a standalone TIG machine and maybe get a separate plasma cutter later.

i bought the Eastwood TIG 200 and Plasma 60 combo about 2 years ago and love it. took alot of time to figure it all out since not alot of people had them at the time, but they both work awesome and are a fraction of the cost of others, but with roughly the same end result

I first bought the Everlast Power Ultra 205(or Super Ultra, cant remember), then I got a pedal problem under warranty, so I ask them if I could upgrade my unit to an AC|DC one, for the price difference, they say yes, so I've now a Power Pro 205. I used it 90% tig, 10 % plasma. I like the better plasma torch of the Power Pro and now the fact that it got AC now. As for the 'best' low cost machine, I dont think you will find someone who have buy all of them if they were on a budget....If I would have to do it again, maybe I think I go for the 256(for more control option) or a used miller ac-dc tig and .... grinder lol
