Default stripping chassis

so i have my ae86 that im restoring stripped down to every last nut and bolt. it has some rust here and there, tons of caked on dirt, grim and mold. so i figure best way to get rid of all that would to dip it in some solution like acid. i started to read up on that it its going to end up costing a ton of money to get it done. it seems like sandblasting the chassis is a good alternative.

guess im just asking whats a good way to get my chassis down to the bare metal and get rid of rust? thanks

well since you've gone that far by your self you can either get some aircraft paint stripper (gel) and do it that way kinda messy though. Or you can get your car mediblasted. I would recommend media blasting, the only down side is that ive heard you will have the media trapped in the crevices of your car and you will have to blow it out.

There is no reason to strip it down to bare metal, the factory paint job has the best base to lay over. You can sand blast the bad areas, or cut them out and re-weld in metal panels, or you can just put POR-15 on them.
