Slightly Overfilled Engine Oil 1990 Civic
I'm pretty sure this isn't a problem, but I just wanted to ask what others opinions were. Tonight I noticed that my 1990 Honda Civic's oil was nearing the bottom fill mark on the dipstick (I know, I was bad and should have check it awhile ago). I poured 1 quart of oil in and ran the engine for about 45 seconds. Upon rechecking the oil level, it appears that I have overfilled it about 1/10"ish (one tenth of an inch ish) past the top fill mark on the dipstick. I know overfilling your oil can damage the cat and potentially damage the rod as well as a few other problems. Is the small amount I overfilled going to pose enough risk that I should siphon a little out or will I be good to go? I'm planning to drive about 250 miles tomorrow and just wanna make sure I'm not gonna break something. If you guys can give me your opinion, that would be great. Thanks!

1/10th of an inch is like 1/8 of a quart or so overfilled, that's not going to cause you any problems at all.
