Turn signal randomly working
Hello and welcome to the nagging tick that has been slowly driving me insane over the past month or so.
I have a 1996 Honda Civic DX. My blinkers will work intermittently with no distinguishable pattern. Sometimes I hop in the car and they work and by the time I'm 30 minutes or so into my drive, they stop working. Other days they don't work at all. Other days, they last five minutes. Then sometimes they will not work and miraculously start working some time into my drive. So as I said earlier, no pattern.
I have replaced the turn signal combination switch on the left side of the steering column, replaced the flasher relay underneath the dashboard, all of the turn signal lights work, and the hazard light switch works.
Any other ideas?

Hazard light switch, all bulbs and wiring and flasher relay are common between the hazard lights and the signal lights, so question is, if signal lights are not working does switching the hazards on and off get the signal lights to work again?
If so, the problem is the hazard lights switch, power for signal lights goes through the hazard lights switch if there is a bad connection in the hazard switch it would account for the intermittent signal lights problem. 94

Thanks fcm, I'll mess around with the hazards today and see if they have any affect. I didn't realize the hazard light connection could slowly go bad, thought it was just be good or bad. Obviously, I am not an electrician.
Hazards don't have any affect on the turn signals. I tried them several times when the blinkers weren't working and nothing happened. The blinkers were working when I left the house, weren't working for a little while, worked again about thirty minutes into my drive, then didn't work again haha. I never turned off the car, just a continuous morning commute to work.
Then I would check the fuse for the signal lights, replace it with a known working or new fuse.
Just o be clear, your hazard lights always work when turned on?
When signal lights are not working neither the left or right sides work or is it just one direction that does not work?94
