Locking Vtec with compressed air (where to buy tool?)
Does anyone know where to buy the lil tool for blocking the lil porthole in the head for locking the Vtec lobe in?
In helms it is listed as p/n: 07LAJ-PR3020A
It would be nice to be able to degree cams in without pulling them out to manually lock the rockers.
TIA

Re: Locking Vtec with compressed air (TrueNorthStar)
Try a dealership first. If the parts department won't help, try the technicians. Just ask them if they can order it for you. Or try Snap-On. They usually supply a lot of the OEM tools.
Also, the block-off is a pretty simple if you wanted to make one.
It's just a spring clip with a rubber plug.

Re: Locking Vtec with compressed air (EE_Chris)
Wow, I would have guessed about $30 for the tool on the high side.... Damn honda parts! lol
Hmmm, I wonder, if I put 12v to the vtec solenoid, would that block it off too?
If not I think I'll make my own tool.
Thanks for the help guys

Sorry for the bump, but nothing else comes up when you do a search for the part number.
07LAJ-PR3020A
Is is there an alternative here?
$77 is steep online for just a spring loaded rubber stopper.

^nm I just poached the cap from a gear oil bottle and trimmed it and stuck it in the hole and wedged it in with the handle of a tool and it's working well enough.
