Default Is going backwards from H22A to H23 VTEC worth the trouble?

I have recently acquired a 97 Prelude with a knocking bottom end. I was wondering if it would be worth it to just replace the block with another H22 bottom end, or get an H23 bottom end, swap out the oil squirters and pistons from the donor H22, and slap the H23 block in its place. Has anyone ever gone BACKWARDS before and is this even worth my trouble?

why dont u use the stock 2.3 bottom end.

And either motor will go forwards, not backwards.

well... minus the h22 crank, of course which would defeat the purpose of going h23...
but i was curious if anyone had ever done this. i have only seen 92-96 'ludes going h23 vtec not the other way around
