Diesel in civic!!!
One of my friends (a girl) put some diesel in her 2001 civic. She then realized it but still drove to her apartment because she said it was only 3 miles away from the gas station. I told her to get someone to syphen it out but she said theres an anti-syphen thing on it???? Anyways, I'm gonna change the fuel filter tomorrow. What else should I do/ look for?

you can drop the gas tank if there is an anti-syphen thing.. and change the spark plugs.

take out the tank and get some compressed air on the fuel lines to blow them out. There has to be diesel residue in them, and even if you get it out of the tank, it'll still be there.

Re: Diesel in civic!!! (Sonic)
once you ge tall the diesel out, you will still have to run about a tanks worth of gas through the lines to completely get ALL the diesel out

There is a drain bolt on the tank. Its on the left rear corner on the EG's I don't know exactly where it would be on the 2001.

I just don't get it. She's smart enough to know that there's an anti-siphen mechanism on the car but not smart enough to know that when a gas nozzle won't fit in the car, you don't JAM it in there and that if you DID fill up your car with diesel, you don't DRIVE OFF anyway???

Dude unless you're getting a BJ from this friend as a favor, you should make her do all that crap like climbing under the car and getting dirty.
All gas tanks can be drained by removing a bolt somewhere on the bottom of the tank...same concept/procedure as changing the oil.

Re: Diesel in civic!!! (ayacht)
She said the nozzle for the diesel was blue. Most diesel nozzles that I've seen are green but she took the blue handle without reading
