junkyard parts worth grabbing?
Quick introduction:
My son brought home his first car, a 95 civic LX with a blown head gasket. Over the past couple of weeks we swapped in a D16z6 and matching trans from a 95 ex and have that running pretty well. The car is a sedan with drum rear brakes. We are planning on doing a rear disk swap and potentially the 11" front brake kit using the mini cooper rotors. I found a 94 Integra at the junk yard to source some parts from, but I wanted to see if there was anything else worth grabbing off that car while I was at it.
Here is what I was planning to grab:
1. rear spindles, hopefully without trailing arms, but we will see.
2. rear calipers, if they are in good shape
3. parking brake cables
Is there any benefit to grabbing any of the following?
1. front brake components (spindles, calipers, etc)
2. sway bars (front or rear)
3. springs and / or shocks (front or rear)
4. rear LCAs (to make the shocks or swap bar work?)

Re: junkyard parts worth grabbing?
The integra front spindles will make the 11" swap easier.
Integra rear LCA's come with the holes for sway bars. I don't believe 5th gen civics have those holes. The non-R integra and 5G civic LCA's are the same except the sway bar holes.
Integra front sway bars are bigger. The rear sway bar exists.
I'd skip the springs/shocks, though they are more aggressive on Integras. Your ride height may change

Re: junkyard parts worth grabbing?
Very cool. So the list is now:
1. rear spindles, hopefully without trailing arms, but we will see.
2. rear calipers, if they are in good shape
3. parking brake cables
4. front spindles
5. sway bars (front and rear)
6. rear LCAs
Is there anything else that might be on an integra that would be "neat" on a civic?

The drivetrain :D
Also, the front seats are nicer.

Yeah, the drive train is gone. We looked for a long time for a B series swap, but couldnt find one we could afford. The D16 swap was less than $500 out the door at the pick a part.
Seats would be interesting. I will see what kind of shape they are in.
