D16Y8 into a 2000 lx
Timing belt snapped on my d16y7 (in my 2000 lx), so I picked up a d16y8 out of a 97 coupe with the harness and p2p ecu to go with (obd2a I believe, both cars are manual). I swapped in the y8 with the harness it came with, and plugged in the p2p ecu. I’ve got the A B and D plugged into the ecu, and the green plug hooked up to the green from the vehicle. There is one gray plug sitting loose/unplugged coming from the vehicle. I tried to start, and am not getting fuel to the fuel rail.. I’ve looked into forum posts about this swap but can’t find the solution to this exact situation, can anyone give some insight in what needs to be done to make everything work? I’m thinking some wires need to spliced at the ecu where that plug is sitting loose, but I’m not sure

Did you even TRY to Google this before asking here ?
This has been answered maybe eight thousand times on this Forum alone. For the best results, you ALWAYS use the engine harness that originally came with your chassis and modify it to fit the new engine that you intend to use. In your case, you "could" use a '99-00 Civic EX engine harness and swap the '97 Y8 distributor to a '99-00 Y8 distributor AND an OBD-2B -> OBD-2A ECU adapter harness so that you can plug in your '97 P2P ECU into your chassis.
