93 civic gsr swap TPS issue
I believe my issue is TPS related. I did a voltage test/calibration but I'm getting weird results. I believe this has to do with the wiring.
3 wires go to the TPS sensor, Green(Ground) Yellow(5V Power) Red w/Blue strip(Signal to ECU)
Tested the ground first. Put 1 lead on positive terminal and negative on green wire. I got 11.87 volts(battery voltage) Green wire/ground checks out.
Next Yellow wire( Negative lead went to Negative post on battery, Positive on Yellow wire(meter read 5.00V exactly. Yellow wire seems to be good.
Last but not least(Red with blue stripe(TPS ECU signal wire). Negative lead on Negative on battery, positive on the Red and blue wire. When the throttle is closed it reads(4.97V) when I open the throttle it reads (4.95V)
What is causing this issue? I even replaced the TPS thinking it was the issue before.
I believe there is a break in the wire or somehow the TPS isn't giving the ECU the signal. What could cause this or any ideal how to get this going?
Car takes 15-20 times to fire up, but when you give it gas is bogs down and dies, if you give it light throttle it will rev but has no power in any gear.
I was thinking about running a seperate from from the TPS straight to the D11 connector on the ECU, will this give it the signal it needs? Or where should I start?
