srs light
my srs light has been on quite a while but thanks to the last owner removing the bulb i didn't know untill a few days ago.
ive followed the steps:
1, Make sure the ignition switch is OFF
2, Bypass the MES connector with a paperclip (jumper wire). Warning! Don't touch this to anything else while doing the reset.
3, Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
4, THe SRS indicator light comes ON for about 6 SECONDS, then OFF. You have 4 SECONDS to remove the jumper wire.
5, The SRS indicator light comes ON again. Reconnect the jumper within 4 SECONDS.
6,The SRS indicator light goes OFF. REMOVE the jumper within 4 SECONDS.
When the memory is erased, the SRS indicator light BLINKS TWICE.
Turn the ignition switch OFF, and wait 10 SECONDS.
Done.
but when i get to the last stage instead of blinking twice it just blinks continuously
anyone know whats up ???

If you're sure you don't have an airbag problem or anything - just remove than damn bulb. Or get some elctrical tape. Mine is on also - but it doesn't really bother me.

here is what the helms says:
1) Ignition OFF
2) connect SCS service connector to the MES connector (2P). Do not use a jumper wire.
3) Turn the ignition switch on ON (II).
4) The SRS indicator light comes on for about six seconds and goes off. Remove the SCS service connector from the MES connector (2P) within four seconds after the SRS indicator light goes off.
5) The SRS indicator light comes on again. Reconnect the SCS service connector to the MES connector (2P) within four seconds after the SRS indicator light comes on.
6) The SRS indicator light goes off. Remove the SCS service connector from the MES connector (2P) within four seconds.
7) The SRS indicator light indicates that the memory is erased by blinking two times.
8) Turn the ignition switch OFF, and wait for ten seconds.
i dont know if its any different than what you did, also that is the BB6 manual but i think they are the same....good luck with it...
