Re: How to: Clutch replacement
What a great write up. I'm certain a lot of this info will come in very handy. My clutch just went yesterday. I will be doing this job in my brothers lane-way in a few days when ever i get around to ordering the parts for it. I've never had to do any extensive repairs on a transverse engine set up before... I'm not sure what it is that i find intimidating about it, but somethings telling me that i wish i had the quid to pay someone else to do it lmao.
But i don't... So any further tips and/or short cuts would be greatly appreciated.
p.s. If someone would like to spare me the cost of a repair manual (unemployed for 1 1/2 years due to plant closure and a car accident that left me with broken foot and back) It's not that i'm cheap, just seriously broke!!! I sure could use the torque specs on all the important parts on re assembly.
I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best

Re: How to: Clutch replacement
Hello, I'm new to the forum. I am planning on doing the clutch job on my SH, and yes I know it's gonna be a rough one. I'm just wondering what gaskets and seals I will need for the job. I want to do the flywheel and rear main seal also.

Re: How to: Clutch replacement
Just did my father in laws in his 96 H22a was a pita. The most trouble I had was getting the actual trans out after it was detached and then back in and re attached. Other then that. The clutch, press plate , throw out took all of 20 minutes.
