long story short i need to replace my subframe i want to know how to be albe to take the steering rack off as the preturding axle is to long to allow it

any one have this experiance or is my best bet going to be to just buy the complete setup from pnpull.

you have to take the outer tie rods off. you can leave the inners on. then just fanagle(sp) it out. it will come out it just takes a bit of working it out.

I tapped mine with a hammer, no problem, came right out, left outer tie rods on it.

the tie rods are cradled by the subframe to close

I had someone pull one for me. He said that you had to cant the wheels over to one side to get it out. So I guess you would have to get the travel all over to one side to have a shot at it. I havent done it yet so I cant say this is correct.

it can be done. def turn the rack one way or he other i just did this a month ago with the subframe still on the car. have done on several others as well
