mpfi conversion
hello i own a 90 dx, im doing a dpfi to mpfi conversion and then going obd1 because of hondata. i have a obd0-obd1 conversoin harness, p28 ecu, and i just need a obd1 dizzy. i understand that i need to convert it to mpfi but will there be any problems because it used to be dpfi when converting to obd1?

Re: mpfi conversion (one-cam)
shouldn't be any problems, but you will need to wire the distributor connector for the OBD1 distributor or get a distributor jumper - when converting to MPFI and OBD1, if you have OBD1 injectors you won't need an injector resistor box - if you have OBD0 injectors, you will need the resistor box

Ebay + OBD1/mpfi conversion = headaches.. so good luck my friend.
Anyway. Once the engine harness is converted to MPFI it should only be a matter of clipping the that distributor harness in.
There's lots of detailed threads you can search for for removing the resistor box when the time comes.

Re: mpfi conversion (one-cam)
i think what he meant was that you need a ECU jumper harness (which you said you already had) to be able to use the OBD1 ECU - i noticed that he said that he makes and sells OBD0 to OBD1 ECU conversions - doing the DPFI to MPFI swap is the same whether you are OBD0 or OBD1 - it just consists of adding the 2 additional injector wires and the 2 cylinder sensor wires - when you are doing the OBD1 conversion at the same time, you need to combine the things that need to be done for OBD0 with the things that need to be done for OBD1 - for instance, the typical DPFI to MPFI conversion on the OBD0 engines require the use of the resistor box and usually rewiring the distributor (unless you are installing a DOHC ZC) - if you are converting to OBD1 with OBD1 injectors, you don't need the resistor box and you need different wiring for the distributor

Wrong answer!
Once you have a MPFI conversion you need to use 92-95 distributer & ecu the injectors are optional obd-0 or obd-1 pig tails have to be changed if going obd-1 injectors plus eleminate the injector resistor connection.
Yes you need a ecu jumper harness (Obd-0/Obd-1).
You will also need to convert the 1 wire oxygen sensor to a 4 wire oxygen sensor 92-95 Obd-1 thats the only way that bad boy will run the way it should with no check engine lights.
I do these conversions a lot and also swap them for customers so do some research and see what they say.

Learn to read! (..and spell)
The ebay seller was talking about converting the "engine harness to obd1" in order to use the obd0 to obd1 distributor jumper - which makes No Sense..

This of course is assuming that the original poster understands that the distributor must be obd1 in order to work with a p28 as well as use the posted plug and play distributor jumper...
This isn't my first rodeo either, mr. trying-to-get-free-advertizements

im trying to get as much info on this build before i do anything big if you know what i mean and im sorry about all these questions. searching for it didnt help=/
