throttle adjustment.........PLEASE HELP!
I was wonderin which nut i had to adjust to tighten my throttle cable, it seems really loose......i also wanna adjust it cuz sometimes my idle goes down to 450rpm and below...........

its the funny lookin nut.....its not actually a nut but it screws on like one...you would have to adjust that towards the throttle rotor. i might be mistaken but just mess with it you will figure it out.....

you should invest in a manual. it could tell you all those lil things about your vehicle.
sorry dont got no pics but if you know where the throttle body is and you can see the throttle ROTOR then the place to adjust it is right along there......just follow the throttle cable........

on my 98 there is a cable mount...one bolt pulls the cable tight and the other holds it in place once its tighten..but dont over tighten the cable

The idle doesn't have anything to do with your throttle cable...unless its idling too high. If you feel play in your gas pedal then it's likely too loose. Just loosen the bolt holding the cable in the bracket thats attatched to the intake manifold just above the plastic fuel rail cover, and remove the cable from the bracket. Just use trial and error until the cable fits back in with no slack, but the throttle wheel must not be moved. Even if the throttle plate is open a little bit, it will cause you to revving even when your foot's off the gas. You may have to do this every now and again..it comes loose naturally.
