injector wiring issue
1995 civic SI body
B18c1 engine
for some reason my number 1 injector wire has constant signal holding the injector open whenever the car is in ignition position
i replaced my ecu, so thats not the issue... i put a volt meter in the injector plug and whhenever its in ignition on there is voltage on that plug but no others
any ideas?
stock engine and car side harness's with a B18C1 engine, had engine in a different body and had no issues. im almost thinking there is a pinched or shorted wire somewhere in car side harness?

Re: injector wiring issue
sounds like you're on the right track, if the injector is constantly grounded you must have a short to ground somewhere between the ecm and the injector.

Re: injector wiring issue
alright so you think the short is on ground side? i have no idea how the wiring is setup with those, is it basically just a wire from the ecm to injector then a wire out to ground? or are there switches and relays somewhere in there? and is the power side wire straight from the ecm to the injector or is it from somewhere else to the injector

Re: injector wiring issue
injectors always get power, ecu sends a ground pulse to trigger the injector to fire. no external relays or anything like that involved. for whatever reason the ground side going to the ecu for that one injector clip is shorting to the body which is causing it to spray constantly.

Re: injector wiring issue
Awesome thanks man. So will it be a power wire from the ecu to the injector along with a ground or just the ground from the injector to the ecu

Re: injector wiring issue
just ground. the power comes 1 wire at the ecu which then goes to the resistor box (if applicable) where it's then split and sent to each injector.
