Fluttering sound from transmission/clutch?
This sounds tranny related to me, but I'm not certain. This just started after I went to Ohio Valley(1/8 mile track) a couple weeks ago.
There is a noise coming from what sounds to be like the clutch when I am disengaging it to take off in first, and when I floor the gas pedal to pass or just accelerate hard. It's a fluttering sound that kind of sounds like tires do when they lose traction, but it's happening mostly at high rpms when I am trying to accelerate hard. It's almost as if the clutch is slipping, but I don't know for sure.
I'm really not too keen on the manual cars because I drove an automatic for so long. This clutch was put in in December and hasn't been driven too hard. I took it to the track once, and have done about 6-8 launches with it. It was just a stock replacement from Auto-zone, but I don't think this should have done something like this.
Could it be something to do with the flywheel/pressure plate?
I would appreciate anyone's help.

Re: Fluttering sound from transmission/clutch? (civicseth)
it's slipping. i have the same problem, but it doesn't slip so often...really only when i mis-shift or my hands are full and my passenger mis-shifts. advance auto parts stock clutch disc, pressure plate, and release fork. are you a new stick driver? you might just be shifting a little hard. practice makes perfect.

Yeah, I just started driving a stick since we swapped it from automatic back in December.
Is there any way to remedy this besides getting another clutch?
