clutch slippage?

clutch slippage?
ITR LSD tranny. it feels like my clutch slipped, but if you let go of the clutch long enough and apply gas when in gear, it still pulls hard. im guessing if you push it hard then it feels like the clutch has slipped. regardless, im guessing this is one of the early stages of clutch slippage? and there is a noise coming from my tranny too, a buddy said its probably that the flywheel is loose. i did go under the car and was listening, did sound like the flywheel, jus not sure

Re: clutch slippage?
No idea on the slipping. Replace it if you have doubts.
What kind of noise? Does it go away when you press on the clutch pedal in the car?

Re: clutch slippage?
Go around 65MPH, put it in fifth and floor it. If your RPMs dont slip up, your clutch is fine.
As for the noise, like stated above. Does it make the noise when the clutch is pushed in? IF it only makes a noise when the clutch is not engaged, its fine..

Does it sound like a bearing is humming or rattling in your transmission, and gets faster with rpms?
Does it go away ^like he said when you push the clutch pedal down? If it does go away, most likely the input shaft bearing

oh well either way im gonna replace the clutch. and yes, for the tranny, it does sound like its a rattling noise from a bearing or something. and yes the noise does go away when clutch is applied.

Re: clutch slippage?
your clutch is probably slipping, when you "let off the clutch long enough" it gives it time to cool down enough to grab. a clutch's worst enemy is heat. especially a worn one
