d16z6 tranny rebuild
I was wondering what sort of parts would I need to rebuild my transmission? I was hoping for performance parts but the only thing I was able to pull up is the clutch and flywheel. Are there any other parts I would need to rebuild the transmission?

Re: d16z6 tranny rebuild (jdmtunerchick)
my transmission is a bit loose. not only that I wanna get a performance into it. I wanna start with the transmission and then with the engine. I wanna acceleration faster and get the most performance.

Brian long time man.
The guys to ask is Bense, or Mista Bone. Those guys are D series trans gods (at least in my eyes). Theres alot of different little things you could do with the trans. Whats your goals for the trans?

Re: d16z6 tranny rebuild (Luserkid)
hey man, yea it has been awhile. the car still runs well, since then my dad replaced the engine with a zc engine but left the same transmission that you put in for me. I think the tranny is a bit loose since i first got it. What I want from the transmission is the most performance what ever that is. I just want a good stable tranmission.

By loose do you mean the shifter feel? It could be the bushings? If you want a stiffer shifter feel then you could get some ES bushings that helps it alot.
As for performance:
You do know that the shorter the gears the higher the RPM at the lower speed right?
Say your at 4500rpm @ 80mph, that could easily turn into 5500rpm @ 80 mph but quicker acceleration. What i would probably do would be 1, 2, 3 from a EX/SI 4th from a DX and 5th from a VX. That way you would get good acceleration with a good cruising gas saver.
